How To Switch Between Window Managers

Different window managers provide different aesthetic approach in managing windows.They provide different kind of desktop effects, menu items, keyboard shortcuts etc.In Ubuntu's GNOME desktop environment, Metacity window manager is included as default.In Kubuntu's KDE desktop environment window manager is kWin.But there are numerous window managers are available to download, most of all less resource consuming than default.

switching between window managers:
its easy...
(1) install the window manager you want with your package manager and logout
(2) before login again click on the "sessions" menu in login (GDM) theme.
(3) a list of available window managers will be shown there.

> some window managers like Enlightenment provide a menu option through which we can select another window manager without logging out.
