How to start vlc player in skin mode

vlc player (http://videolan.org/) is an all playing media player.It can play almost all media formats.Users find it highly useful when it comes playing of broken downloaded media.It has got tonnes of heavy tools like transcoding videos from files and network streams or streaming to
network.

There is an interesting download counter of vlc player in videolan website which shows an average of 1.2 downloads per second!

It is the guru of media players, Eventhough most users -skin junkies, let's say!- find its default skin awkward.Moreover you cannot set one skin permanently in one direct step like we do with some other players.

Follow these procedures to set a skin permanently for vlc:

Get some skins from videolan website:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/skins.html
These are .vlt files.Download and save these files in vlc player skin folder

eg; C:\Program Files\videolan\vlc\skins

open vlc and go to Settings >> Preferences.
You will get the following window.expand interface in left column as
shown in figure
Do check Advanced options on check box left under.

select Interface >> Main Interface

then select Skinnable Interface from Interface Module as shown in figure



Again expand Main Interface section and select Skins.You
can specify path to selected skin (where you downloaded and saved) in Skin to
use box.
eg; C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\skins\WMP11.vlt

(Don't forget to check Advanced options box to do this step.)


Now you can enjoy a permanent skin for vlc.You no need to
select it manually every time.

Restart vlc player and enjoy!!
